Off the carriageway if you can, hazard lights on. On a motorway or fast road, get out and stand behind the barrier, not in the vehicle.

A quick photo of where the vehicle is sitting tells us what equipment to bring, which saves time when we get there.

We load it, move it and, if it is a job we can do, get straight on with diagnosing it back at the workshop.
